I am Mrs Temilola Adepetun, the founder and MD/CEO of SKLD Integrated Services Limited (formerly School Kits Limited)...

a leading sourcing company for educational, lifestyle, office, and humanitarian aid supplies in Nigeria, with a presence in 6 States of the country serving over 500 companies across 24 states in Nigeria.

I started out working in insurance briefly and then moved over to the Oil and Gas Industry. I worked at Ashland oil where I spent fourteen years during which I worked in various strategic departments such as Economics & Planning, Treasury, Insurance, and Human Resources.

I resigned in the year 2000 to pioneer the concept of a one-stop back-to-school store in Lagos, with the opening of our first retail store at Onikan on September 9th of the same year.

SKLD was launched with 2 members of staff at Onikan, Lagos over 20 years ago and currently, it operates 7 retail outlets across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, an online back-to-school store (skit.ng), and 5 other business locations across Nigeria.

Over the past two decades, the SKLD team has been an innovative and dynamic team which has continually achieved remarkable growth within the sectors we operate. We achieved this by hiring, coaching and developing high performing and very diligent team members. We accomplished an astronomical growth milestone in 2019 by expanding SKLD’s wholesale division with the launch of Marcel Hughes Apparel – Nigeria’s flagship uniform brand serving over 500 schools nationwide; and establishing a garment production facility employing 95 garment workers and producing over 4,000 garments per month. SKLD integrated services ltd further diversified into Humanitarian Aid supplies to International NGOs such as UNICEF, Save the Children, AHNI, and others in recent years.

In November 2019, I received the International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge
Foundation (IWEC) Award India, in recognition of my entrepreneurial pursuits and for our contribution to empowering other women leaders. In April 2023, I also received the award for Education Business Leader, 2023 by Africa Economy Builders Forum and Awards in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire for our contribution to the Educational Supplies sector for over two decades.

I hold a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos (1982) and I am an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance, London -A.C.I.I. (1985).

I am also a Life Member of Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ) and a Trustee of the Board of Courage Education Foundation, an NGO dedicated to educating indigent children. I sit as a Director on the Board of SS Dental Clinic, Lagos, and am the Vice – Chairperson of the Board of Directors at C.O.P.E. Foundation, an NGO that provides breast cancer awareness and resources for women. I am also a member of the Garment and Accessories Manufacturers Association of Nigeria.

I am married to Dr. Adebayo Adepetun, and we have three sons; Damola, Denola and Ademide.
